We charge $300-$350 per hour for attorney services in divorce, custody, appeals, and estate planning matters. We hold your funds in our trust account and bill against your retainer as we complete work, including routine communications, legal research, document drafting, and court filings. We provide itemized monthly invoices so you always know where things stand, and we refund any unused portion of your retainer once our work is finished.
Initial retainers vary by matter type and depend on the scope and complexity of your needs. Most clients fall within the following ranges:
Divorce and custody: $3,000-$5,000
Family law appeals (including spousal support and custody appeals): $5,000-$7,000
Single-person will package: $1,000-$1,500
Couples’ will package: $1,500-$2,000
Each will package includes a will, financial power of attorney, medical power of attorney with integrated HIPAA authorization, advance healthcare directive, disposition of last remains, and coordinated signing process. Advanced planning, such as trusts or deed work, may require a higher initial retainer to reflect the added scope. We review these needs with you and confirm any adjustments in advance.

We offer an automated pay-in-four plan through our secure Clio platform, allowing you to split eligible invoices into up to four equal, interest-free payments, the first due when the invoice is issued, followed by three biweekly payments. Payment options include credit card, debit card, and ACH (eCheck), making it easy to move forward confidently while keeping payments predictable and stress-free.

Some clients don’t need ongoing representation but still want help with specific parts of their case. We offer task-specific legal services so you can choose where legal help will make the biggest difference. For each task, we require an initial retainer, which we hold in our trust account and bill against at our standard hourly rates as we complete work. Common tasks include reviewing court documents, drafting or revising pleadings, preparing financial disclosures, or helping you prepare for mediation or a court hearing.
This option gives you access to experienced legal guidance without the commitment of ongoing representation, helping you stay in control of your case and your costs.
